Push-Rock Hand Control
This is one of Marisa’s favorites for those with some better hand function. Ours is also extra special in that we have a Brake Lock meaning if you need to keep your brake in position for a bit (think sitting in a line in traffic), you can push the button to hold the brake while letting your arm rest.
Push-Twist Hand Control
For those who have experience with motorcycles, or those without it, this may be a hand control of interest. Push towards the dash for the brake and when ready to accelerate you will “twist” the handle back towards you. Get ready to rev your engine!
Instructor Pedals
To keep you both safe. We have an instructor brake, similar to a driver’s education type of vehicle, Additionally we have an instructor accelerator which may be used in case of emergency to quickly get out of the path of another vehicle or avoid rear-end collision.
Left Foot Accelerator
In this scenario, you would still use your original brake pedal but your original gas pedal would be deactivated, instead using a left foot accelerator pedal. This can be a tricky one to get used to but might be a great alternative for those who still have good foot control and reaction times with their left side.
Push-Right Angle Hand Control
As with others, this hand control pushes to activate the brake. To accelerate, you push the handle down towards your feet (hopefully gently) to accelerate.
Special thanks to SureGrip for the generous donation of our Featherlite Hand Controls and Tarsus Instructor Pedals. Visit SureGrip online here.
Instruments for Right Side
We have the option to do any of our hand controls in a right-sided configuration if that is needed.
Pictured here is the push-pull hand control. Pretty simple but a great option for many people.
